From Review Staff Reports
HANCOCK COUNTY
No condition update was available for a Wellsville woman
involved in a two-car accident in the early morning hours
Saturday near the intersection of state Route 8 and state
Route 208.
According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Department,
Marcia Parrish, a.k.a. Marcia McKenzie, was transported by
helicopter to Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh.
In the accident, early reports suggest Parrish, who was
traveling north on Route 8, may have gone left of center and
struck a southbound vehicle being driven by Chad Allen Lamp of
the Chester area.
Parrish was transported by helicopter to a Pittsburgh
hospital while a passenger in her vehicle, Brian Speck,
received minor injuries and was transported to East Liverpool
City Hospital, according to the preliminary reports. An earlier
report erroneously placed Speck in Lamp's vehicle.
Lamp, who was examined at the scene by emergency medical
personnel, went to the hospital later by private vehicle.
First responders and firefighters from the New Manchester
Volunteer Fire Department had to extricate Parrish from her
vehicle. She was then taken by ambulance to a helicopter
landing zone and then to the Pittsburgh hospital. |
